CSNano Technologies Sdn Bhd

Established in March 2016, CSNano Technologies Sdn Bhd was incorporated to operate as the commercial arm of Centre for Sustainable Nanomaterials (CSNano), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). The venture was in line with the UTM’s call for greater commercial involvement by higher education institutions. As a UTM spin-off company, CSNano Technologies Sdn Bhd key focus is now to engage with community and industry and bring additional and incremental income to UTM as part of its drive to achieve financial sustainability of CSNano. on 23 Apr 2016

    Dr. Norhidayu Muhamad Zain was born on March 6, 1988 and is the eldest of three siblings. She furthered her Bachelor's degree in Michigan State University, United States in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Biotechnology. Subsequently, she continued her studies at PhD level in Biomedical Engineering at the Faculty of Biosciences and Medical Engineering at UTM Skudai. She is currently serving at the Faculty of Islamic Civilization as a Senior Lecturer and her research is focusing on Halal Science. She was appointed Research Fellow and Head of Halal Laboratory at Center for Sustainable Nanomaterials (CSNano), Ibnu Sina Institute for Scientific and Industrial Research (ISI-ISIR), UTM. Her research interest focuses on the link between halal and medical science fields. Currently she is working on the potential of halal gelatin and collagen to substitute non-halal sources in biomedical applications. However, her publication and supervision is open to any topic related to Halal Science and halal-related matters. >More info

He have experience in the development and/or applications of multipulse-excitation femtosecond spectroscopy, coherent broadband two-dimensional electronic spectroscopy, coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering microscopy, two-photon fluorescence, second harmonic generation microscopy. His current research is focused on using multipulse-excitation femtosecond laser spectroscopy and coherent broadband two-dimensional electronic spectroscopy to investigate and understand dynamics of energy migration and charge carriergeneration in organic photovoltaic materials.>More info

    CSNano Seminar Series 12: Dr. Budhi Arta Surya

    10.30 – 12.00 amMeeting Room, N31, Centre for Sustainable Nanomaterials (CSNano), Ibnu Sina Institute for Scientific and Industrial Research, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Skudai, Johor Bahru

    Budhi gained his PhD in Applied Mathematics from Utrecht University, the Netherlands. Soon after that, he joined Bank of America Corp. as a Quantitative Financial Analyst based in Singapore. His research has been mainly on Applied Probability and Stochastic Modeling motivated by problems in actuarial science, credit risk and financial economics. He was a visiting scholar to Columbia University in NYC, LSE, Bath, Goethe University in Frankfurt, Osaka, NTU and NCTU in Taiwan, CUHK, Monash and ANU at which he was invited to give a talk and do his research. He secured some research grants from DAAD, Victoria University PBRF Research Grants and recently from CSIRO Australia for a joint PhD research grants with B-School Monash University and CSIRO. Budhi joined Victoria University of Wellington in February 2015.
