Regional Annual Fundamental Science Symposium 2016 (RAFSS 2016)

Regional Annual Fundamental Science Symposium 2016 (RAFSS 2016) is the thirteen in a series of interdisciplinary symposia that is organized by the Centre of Sustainable Nanomaterials (CSNano), Ibnu Sina Institute for Scientific and Industrial Research, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. RAFSS 2016 is devoted to all aspects of fundamental science research in the fields of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology.

Scope of Symposium includes the following areas:

  • Solid-State Science including photonics and lasers, physical electronics, fuel cells, optics, composites, microcrystalline, porous and amorphous materials.
  • Nanoscience including molecular engineering, nanophysics, nanochemistry, nanobiology, synthesis and structural elucidation, and applications of nanomaterials.
  • Nuclear Science including nuclear physics, radiochemistry, radiation chemistry, health physics, accelerator science, radiation biology and radiopharmacy.
  • Mathematical and Computational Sciences including theoretical and computational aspects of mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology; mathematical modeling, simulation and application.
  • Physical and Biological Sciences including bioinformatics, agriculture, biomedicals and natural products.
  • Philosophy of Science including philosophy of biology, physics, chemistry and mathematics; metaphysics, epistemic and semantic aspects of science.
